This site isn’t just about fighting. It's about preserving the knowledge in a sport rich with cultural history. More than anything, the site is about personal success. By striving to become better boxers, we hope to learn more about ourselves as we strengthen our spirits and triumph in willpower.
While I can’t guarantee you’ll win a championship belt or even that you'll win your next fight, I am sure this site will definitely challenge you mentally, physically, and emotionally. By the end of the day, you will walk away a better person.
DISCLAIMER: A website can never substitute for a real boxing trainer. Boxing is an inherently dangerous sport. I will not be held responsible for any injury that may come to you or others as the result of the methods taught on the site.
Updated Boxing Knowledge
ExpertBoxing.com is an extension of me. As my boxing knowledge improves over the years, so will this website. The information and content will continue to get better and better, growing with you as you become a better boxer. As the old saying goes, to improve is to change. In this constantly-changing world of boxing… ExpertBoxing will change faster than anyone else and stay on top!
This website shouldn't be the final say in boxing technique. The "tricks" I learn today may be the "mistakes" I make tomorrow. Whether it be in boxing or in life, we are individually responsible for ourselves. You are encouraged to test the techniques, understand the reasoning behind the methods, and see if they fit into your boxing style. As many others will say, "Use what works for you."
"Without application, knowledge is useless." What makes these techniques useful is that you use them in practice.
The Spirit Of Boxing
The sport of boxing has drawn amazed spectators for over thousands of years. From the ancient Greek Olympic Games to the bright lights of Las Vegas, two-fisted pugilism has a long and storied past that continues on today. Also known as the "sport of kings", the sweet science has time and time again shown to be one of the greatest triumphs in human will and determination. Whether it’s being watched in the comforts of your home or with thousands of screaming fans in a stadium, the thrill of a boxing match will never die down for as long as men try to prove themselves over each other in athletic tests of will.
While the spirit of boxing lives on forever, I am not certain of the same for the art of boxing. The truth of the matter is that boxing is no longer a premier sport. Boxing used to be taught in schools all across America and just about every kid growing up had stepped in a boxing gym at least once in their life. It was a normal phase of growing up, just as any kid today would with a skateboard, pair of rollerblades, bicycle, or basketball.
The Dying Art
The sport of boxing today has fallen so far out of mainstream and no longer identifies with much of America. Many people dismiss it as too violent, too simple, or too boring in favor of other mainstream sports like basketball and football. With many of today's best boxing gyms tucked away in society's abandoned neighborhoods and elite athletes signing with the NBA or NFL for larger (and less dangerous) paydays, it's no wonder boxing is no longer revered as the thinking man’s sport.
Many people just don't see the beauty in the sport anymore. They don't realize that boxing is more than just punching tricks, fancy head movements, and "don't give up" success coaching. The casual sports fan perceives "boxing" as little more than amateur backyard fights between brawlers and Mike Tyson-style knockout reels. Gone is the demand for clever footwork, slick head movement, precision punching, and respect for boxers that "HIT and DON'T get hit".
Saving the Sweet Science
The only way to make the casual fan appreciate boxing is to educate them on proper techniques and to give them a chance at being a boxer. Everyone is encouraged to experience the world as a boxer: preparing for challenges in the ring and transferring the same perseverance into other aspects of their life.
Only when people understand what it means to be a boxer, will they truly appreciate the sport for the beautiful science and art which it is. Only then will boxing once again capture the hearts of viewers as it once did. My goal is to preserve the years of proven knowledge and test science behind the sport and share the art with others for enjoyment (whether for competition, fitness, or entertainment).

Great website…..
Just found this site a couple of days ago and I am very impressed and extremely grateful.
I found the instruction of Johnny N. and the personal insights and pro fight experiences of Saber Khan, to be so incredibly useful, extensive and influential, that I had to write in to express my appreciation.
Having loved the sport of boxing since I was a kid and watching The Greatest – Ali, on Wide World of Sports, I have to thank both ‘Coach’ Johnny N. and Saber Khan, for helping to educate me and I imagine many others, in grasping a firmer understanding and stronger skill set of the ‘sweet science’.
The two of you really do make a spectacular impression – THANKS!
On a more personal note, I’d like to learn more, because I recently took up kickboxng classes, at 49 years of age, for improved fitness and health reasons.
Boxing however is far more interesting imo and I have reworked my basement into a home gym, with a heavy bag, double ended bag and weight set to help me lose excess weight.
I feel as I get older, I really do need to be in better shape and my heart and mind are stimulated alot by pursuing boxing ‘science’.
By learning as much as possible, I can teach my 3 God-sons, because I want them to know of the character and esteem building benefits connected with good physical fitness and disciplined training. Of course, the self defence aspects are also very important for youngsters 9, 15 and 17 and later this week, they will be attending their first classes.
Gentlemen, please continue to keep up the good work and sharing of your boxing knowledge, because this website and your combined insights, are in one word – FANTASTIC!
Peace.

Decide what is more important: training time, convenience, or quality training. If you can’t have all 3 then settle for the next best thing, or create substitutions, or change your life.
